b. Permissions Requested

To provide its core functionality, PageNotes requests the following permissions:

• `storage`: To save and retrieve your notes locally.
• `activeTab`: To determine the current website hostname and associate notes accordingly.
• `scripting`: To manage encryption and decryption of your stored notes securely.
• `host permissions`: To identify the domain where notes should be stored and retrieved.

PageNotes does not track your browsing activity or modify web pages.

3. How We Use Your Information

Since PageNotes does not collect personal data, we do not process or share any information. All notes remain private and accessible only on your device.

• PageNotes encrypts your notes before storage using a locally generated encryption key to enhance security.
